History

Klip-Nordic C originated from the Danish Association Klip, which was established in April 2019. Already in the early stages it was clear that the Nordic countries were facing some very similar issues when it came to government interference in families with children. Internet platforms made it possible to connect and work across borders. Klip-Nordic C was formed by three persons, one from Denmark, one from Norway and one from Sweden who met though the internet and decided to join forces to create this small and flexible central unit around witch joint Nordic association Klip-Nordic could gradually develop. The constellation has already changed since this first meeting, but the body still consists of one member representing Denmark, one representing Norway and one representing Sweden.

On September 22, 2019, a founding meeting was held in the association Klip-Nordic C. Two of the members gathered in the small Danish town of Borris, the Swedish member joined via a video call from Sweden. All formal proceedings concerning forming a association under Swedish law were carried out.  Hereby the association is legally constituted.  We now have to go through the formal procedure for achieving a business number.

Klip-Nordic C statutes

 (Statutes of the Central Entity)

§1

Name of the association: The name of the association is: Klip-Nordic Central Entity (Klip-Norics C).

§2

Seat: The association has its seat in Sweden with the association's Swedish member.  Sweden is chosen because of the geographical location which makes the country central to the other Nordic countries.

§3

Purpose: The Association aims to fulfill the ideological, guiding and coordinating role in connection with the joint Nordic association Klip-Nordic. Klip-Nordic is a joint Nordic association for parents of children placed into care, their children and supporters of their cause. The association centers its work around three basic principles. The principle of countering divisions, the principle of following the human rights convention in children and family matters and the principle that parents should be able to actively participate in their children's lives if children are placed in to care.

Almost all Klip-Nordic's work is organized around member initiatives. Member initiatives are gathered and presented in an archive on the association's joint Nordic website. Members can sign up and participate in the development of initiatives that are posted in this archive and they can even propose initiatives that can be posted in the archive.

§4

Rules for how the association should be run: Klip-Nordic C is a small independent entity in the joint Nordic movement Klip-NordicKlip-Nordic consists of independent local branches in the various Nordic countries.  Klip-Nordic C takes care of the overall value and idea base as well as supporting and guiding the local associations. In addition, the body maintains the joint Nordic website including The initiatives bank, which is the backbone of Klip-Nordic work.  Klip-Nordic C has no formal power over the local branches of Klip-Nordic. However, it is sought to have one member from each of the local boards of the central entity. The role of the entity must be understood as ideological, guiding and coordinating.  In addition to the coordinating and guiding role, the central entity can also initiate and lead initiatives on its own if this proves to be appropriate.

§5

Membership Rules: Klip-Nordic C has only 3 - 5 actual members, but it is possible for everybody to become a secondary member also called a global member.

§6

Decision making entity: The central entity is in itself a decision-making body. This is due to the very limited size of the association. The purpose is to have a small decision-making assembly that can reach agreement through dialogue.

§7

Rules for voting and decision-making: Klip-Nordics C is such a small association that all significant members are included in the decision-making process.  There are no rules for these decision makers other than trying to solve tasks and make decisions in dialogue with each other.

§8

Accounting and finances: In the first place, we have chosen a solution where the body is a completely non-monetary. That is, the body has no capital. Being a member does not cost anything and thus there is no need for accounting and auditing in the first place.

§9

Rules for amending the statutes: Amendments to the statutes may be made at any time, but require that all real members be consulted.  If there is disagreement about the changes, a majority decision can be taken.

§10

Rules for dissolution: Since the association does not have capital, it is simple to dissolve it. The central body can be dissolved without delay if all the members agree that it is the right thing to do.
